Re: CH/HW Programmer wiring.
That's OK then. Just wire up your fancy new programmer and ignore the missing HW OFF wire. Just had a thought  If you keep you HW on 24/7, why do you need to connect it to the new programmer? Just connect the brown wire to a permanent Live in t...

Re: Replacement radiator is colder at bottom than it is at top.
That's good You said earlier that you have the CB28X. According to the manual, this model does not have an internal bypass. See Page 5, Figure 2, item 27. If you do not have an internal bypass and all your valves are TRVs, you should have an automati...

Re: CH/HW Programmer wiring.
I suppose you could do it, but it would not be a pure Y plan. Here's a brief  explanation of how the Y plan works. When HW only is called for, the valve is not energised so it is stays in the HW port B open position. The boiler is lit by the HW...

Re: Replacement radiator is colder at bottom than it is at top.
Turning the power off to the boiler would be a sensible precaution. Do you have a bypass installed? It's a pipe joining the flow to the return, before the radiators, with a valve on it. If you do, what sort of valve is it?

Re: where to purchase from????????
You are the second person who has referred to an ECO version. There is nothing on the . There are ECO boilers listed on their , but these are mostly high output boilers. Can someone tell me where I can read about the ECO domestic boilers?

Re: CH/HW Programmer wiring.
Why do you need a touch screen? More to go wrong. Get a Honeywell or Drayton 2-channel timer.

Re: where to purchase from????????
Are you 100% sure of this? I phoned Broag last week to enquire about this and was told that they do not have a list of approved installers . All they could give me was the name of my local supplier, who would give me the name of an installer. They al...

Re: CH/HW Programmer wiring.
If you have a Y plan, you will have one motorized valve, which looks like this: 65839/5946_55226973.jpg . A Y plan needs a connection to the programmer HW OFF CH OFF is hardly ever used . If you have a Y Plan, the TM4 is not suitable as it does not p...

Re: Replacement radiator is colder at bottom than it is at top.
The wide difference means the water is flowing too slowly round the system. This will be due to either the pump set too low or high resistance in the system, including a blockage somewhere. It's easy to check the pump speed. Remove the boiler outer c...

Re: Big house, considering moving away from gas to electric only
Only one dwarf happy? What were the other six cheesed off about? At least it was a 100% sample  , unlike the TV cosmetics ads which say that 95% of users are happy with the product, but in the small print at the bottom of the screen it says 87 u...
