If you paid with either a visa debit or credit card you can claim back through the issuer. Not many people know about the chargeback facility on visa debit cards which gives you near enough the same protection as a credit card. James

That draincock is the last thing I would be worrying about, given the state of the rest of the thing. But it should just tighten with a spanner, if it still doesn't stop dripping it'll need a new washer. James

Make sure you remember that all cooking appliances fitted in flats and multiple-occupancy dwelling must have FFD's fitted to all burners. i,e each hob ring must have a thermocouple protecting it. James

Can of freeze spray and a jacket, about a tenner from B&Q. They work a treat for one off jobs, freeze it then cut some isolators in and then work at your leisure. James

Looks like a automatic air release valve, just replace it. Cheap enough and easy to change. James

How is wd40 going to do anything, whatever is sealing it to stop water getting out of the cylinder, is also going to stop wd40 getting into the thread. Try heating it up and using shock treatment by whacking it hard with a hammer, also try tightening...

Shouldn't be to hard to fit, just live, neutral and earth plus a switch live from the clock to the boiler. James

If the salas programmer is as good as there motorised valves, I would steer well clear. Do you need a programmer to control heating and hot water, if so you will also need room and cylinder thermostats and installed some motorised vaves. If you just ...
