Thanks, Lectrician. Yes, my wife wants to be able to connect her one laptop at a couple of points in the house so one at a time , along with 2 business phones. So I can just run a single length of the 3 pair wire that you mentioned from the new NTE5 ...

Don't think our lighting circuit is even RCD protected. There's an RCD on the left hand side of the CU next to the green labelled switches sockets & shower . The lighting rings, smoke dets, cooker are on the right hand side with red labels under apol...
