This is the back of a 2 gang 2 way switch

yours may vary slightly.

It is 2 switches on the back of the same switch plate, one being up side down in relation to the other.

so that each switch muct use C and L1 or all 3

The dividing line shows which is which half

it makes no difference if it is a dimmer switch or just an on / off switch
