Creating a New Page on the Wiki

To create a page in the Wiki you do the following.

1. Go to the page you want your new page to link from. In this example, Building.

2. Edit the page, and find a place where you would like your link to appear.

3. Click on the button to insert and Internal Link, it looks like this:

4. This inserts the following:

 [[Internal Link]]

5. Change the text 'Internal Link', to the name of the page you wish to create e.g.

 [[My New Page]] 

If the page should live within a particular section add it before the page name with a colon e.g.

 [[building:My New Page]]

Try to keep the page name as short as you can as this will help when linking from the forum, you can make a longer title appear by putting a | after the page name and before the title

 [[building:My New Page|My new page on creating new pages]]

6. Save the page you have created the link on.

7. Now when you look at the page it will show your page name as a red link e.g. My New Page.

8. If you click on the red link, it will take you to a page that says 'This topic does not exist yet'

9. Click on the 'Create this page' button to create the blank page, add the contents into the box and click Save, and your new page is created.
