Brighton Bodies

truth is - i doubt there is any racism in either sports, its probably just some groups are better at stuff than other groups.

It may well be true that you doubt it, but I think we can all accurately guess why.

But you keep on doubting the truth if that comforts you.

Why is it racist when there are no black swimmers but its not racist when there is not a single white person in the 100M.

This thread has gone way beyond what it was meant when started. Let's all take a step back and remember the loss of those 3 women. Let's stop all this nonsense about colour etc. Please.

RIP those women...

And look who started that:

I've never been to Brighton, but by all accounts it has been enriched and I cannot say that it sounds a very pleasant place.

Tio Tewson Bozic was jailed this week for raping a 14 year old girl on Brighton beach in 2024.

And separately...

Last month Abdullah Ahmadi, Ibraham Alshafe and Karin Al Danasurt were found guilty of raping a woman on Brighton beach in 2025.

Three pieces of information you need. The tidal streams for your area, the time of high water at your reference port (not necessarily high water where you are) and if its a Spring (big) or Neap (small) tide

For example the English Channel tidal streams are here:

Dover HW

So as an example 4 hours before HW dover the tides are for Brighton East Approx 100 degrees, at a rate of 0.8kts for a Neap and 1.3kts for a spring. So on Saturday we'd expect around 1.3kts East at 19:30 (HW 23:32). if you were going Sea Kayaking in Brighton on Saturday you'd be wanting to go between 10AM and 2PM (HW +- 1.5 to 2 hours) when the tide is weakest. If you happened to be in the Cherbourg kayaking at around 5PM local time, expect to end up in the Channel Islands. 4-5kts westerly

Not relevant to this tragedy, but in a general related sense...

I went to a talk at the Cutty Sark (under it, actually), last year about the history of the Shipping Forecast given by this guy:

Entertaining, informative, and at times very sobering. If anybody ever sees that he's doing it somewhere they can get to, go. You don't have to be a mariner to find it of interest

Why is it racist when there are no black swimmers but its not racist when there is not a single white person in the 100M.
That's either a badly phrased question, or it's based on absurdity.
It isn't about the ethnic composition of sport people or teams, it's about the reasons that composition is what it is.
For instance, the number of black polo players is very limited due to the obvious cost of participating in that sport, although there have been some notable black polo players, but very few compared to white players.
As ellal said, it's often about the cost of participation and the unequal opportunities for ethnic minorities to participate due to the obvious difference in the ability to fund that participation, which is due to the institutional inequality in society.

Leave it now.

Start other threads. These girls and their family deserve some respect.

out of the last 2 Olympics we have had 60 swimmers, 2 of which were black. that's 3.3% which is very in keeping with the general demographics of our country.

meanwhile our world cup squad is over 50% Black - so do you feel there could be an element of racism there ?
Its 'cultural'. Football is a massive industry and has very low entry requirements and a long history. Ironically it is probably a form of racism that prevents them taking up other sports.
its probably just some groups are better at stuff than other groups.
Thats part of the lazy racism that means that people accept that since there are so few black swimmers there must be a race based reason they can't do it.

But again, if you want to disagree with the people that have actually experienced racism themselves then go for it. It seems rather arrogant to me.

You're an abusive fantasist and every post you make proves it.
As you said: you are a racist bigot in drags and nobody can disprove it.
Exactly, they will pick the best regardless of skin colour or race, and that applies to everything, not just sport - racism does not exist in the UK, its just an insult the far left shout at people who don't agree with them
Gold medal for common sense.

Talking shyte again Himmy.
Take your medications.
Do you have any idea of the cost of athletics?
Of course you don't because you're locked up.
Well, it's higher than swimming but somehow black people are excellent at that.
You're talking b@llox as usual.

Leftists have been encouraging the perception of racism for decades and lowered the bar to the point that a blackboard is racist.
It's their tactic to gain cheap votes.
As an immigrant, applying Leftists standards I've lived my life being hunted down by racists.
Reality is that nobody has ever hated me because I am an immigrant.
Yes, people have made comments and called me names, but that's not racism.
Nobody who spent more than 10 minutes with me has ever complained about my ethnicity, probably because I don't take advantage of the Leftists' narrative and don't shout "RACISM" to gain an advantage.
