    Leaking Isolation Valves

Toolstation only seem to do "made for trade" ones - compression anyway.

    Leaking Isolation Valves

Just looked at screwfix they have pegler and flomasta - the flos are much cheaper then pegler- they still classes as a good make. Also I see "full bore" ones - when would I need one and whay are they not all full bore, I never knew there were 2 types. Thanks

    Leaking Isolation Valves

Thanks What would be a branded one - would I get one from screwfix or toolstation i wonder. Seems like you need pre isolators so you can replace the isolator when they fail :ROFLMAO:

    Leaking Isolation Valves

Well not only leaking but spraying in my face !. They were fine until I went to turn them off to do some work on a tap and as soon as they were in the off position water sprayed out of the area around the slotted head. I have known them to weep a bit but never that. In fact I don't ever recall...

Recommend me a Hex key set please

Thanks everyone for your help so far I have read also about getting a set with the 7mm. I am not sure how much I would use the 3.5 4.5 5.5 in the bigger kits I linked to but all kits seem to come with a 2.5. Standard kits don't seem to come with a 7mm they are 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and...

New tap. tails to 15mm question

I think that over time the rubber deteriorates perhaps but brass olive will not. I know we do it all the time with a washing machine.

My fix for wobbly kitchen tap on sink

Can I ask the one on the right with the plastic triangle does the horseshoe fit on the circle as it looks like it is domed to help locate on the circle - which seems a good design or is it domed profile just to add strength to thin metal. Thanks - this one

New tap. tails to 15mm question

Yes I looked into those when doing my own tap, they are good as they stop the normal olive ones cutting the washer on the tails. But there is already isolator valves so I can work on it nicely. Was just going to put a new short length in the top of the isolators and tails straight onto that. I...

New tap. tails to 15mm question

Need a new kitchen mixer tap for a mate and looking it seems that the tails all come with 1/2 BSP screw on to connect to 15mm pipe. I have just re fitted my own tap and brought new tails and used the compression fitting straight onto a 15mm pipe. I much prefer this method but it seems that all...

Help removing rusty kitchen tap fixing

Thanks. So is it my imagination that I am seeing amongst the rust and scale flat sides on that ring under the sink or is that just a normal horse shoe affair. A plastic screw in shaft seems really rubbish for holding a tap. I know the metal ones are similar but they have a wider nut that goes on...
