Thanks, so I understand this correctly the connectivity would be like this?.... Compression Tank Connector 3/4" Male > Bush/Socket < Outside Tap 1/2" Male Does this mean the Bush or Socket needs to be a 3/4" female one end and 1/2" female the other end?

    Brass tap for oak barrel

Hi I'm converting an old whisky barrel into an ice bath. I'd like to add a brass tap to the bottom so I can drain it to refresh the water. I was hoping to use a standard brass garden tap like this but could do with some advice on what connector I need so I can secure it to the barrel...

    Concealed mixer shower

Hello all I'm having the ensuite refitted and am supplying everything myself with the fitter installing it. I've opted for a black concealed mixer shower. Is there much difference between one concealed mixer shower and another? Is something unbranded from bigbathroomstore.co.uk comparable to...

Front door with only a thumbturn

Front door with only a thumbturn

No, I believe the bar handle is more cosmetic. It's just used to pull the door. The actual thumbturn does the locking. I may be wrong though but it's not the traditional handle you pull up to engage the multipoint locks, it's just a single fixed vertical bar.

Front door with only a thumbturn

Hello all I'm just arranging for a new Solidor front door which has a long bar handle on the outside front. The plan was to have the same bar on the inside of the door but as the door will open flush against a wall, I'm conscious the bar will prevent the door from opening completely. The...

How do I achieve this finish?

So I've experimented with shades up to French Oak and none have darkened the wood significantly. Even 3 coats of French Oak and the spruce now looks like pine. I presume that by painting I'll lose the the grain in the wood so do I just need to go for something like Mahoganny?

How do I achieve this finish?

Hi I've made an open cupboard with internal shelves for shoe storage and have a question with regards to the finish of the shelves themselves. I used Whitewood PSE timber (spruce) for the shelves. Here they are bare: IMG_20191130_134415 by bashdem posted 30 Nov 2019 at 1:45 PM I've since...
