Update to previous posts, Had a CCTV survey done and awaiting the full report, but the only slight problem that was brought up was a section of pipe has settled under my garden. It seems to be where I park my car. There was about 1/2 inch of water lying in the bottom and over time, about 10...

Shared drain keeps blocking - cost of repair.

Badly worded :? The drains have blocked up a few times since last summer. I have been assured by the neighbours that no wet wipes or womens things! have been placed in the drains. I have a set of rods and this has cleared it. The question still remains about cost of repairs. Or do...

Shared drain keeps blocking - cost of repair.

My sewage drains are shared with 2 other houses. I've been living at the property for 10 years and had no problems until last summer when one of the houses had a blocked drain, the sewage was running all over there drive. Any way to cut a long story short we have all had problems about once a...

Price to fit a new boiler

You can't beat a bit of lively debate, apologises if it sounded rude was only meant to be a joke. I will try and find the boiler manual as there are no details on the boiler, apart from the make is a barlo, but I guess that's not much more help than the colour :D

Price to fit a new boiler

I've just had my boiler serviced, gas fitter done a good job, all working well. He did say though, that the heat exchanger was a bit corroded and I would probably need a new boiler in the next year or two. I'm now a bit concerned as to how much this is likely to cost. I don't know the details...

    Drawings of private drains

I had a problem last week with a blocked drain (shared with 2 other properties). Since then I've been trying to find drawings of the set up off the 3 drains as it's not clear on how they are all connected before going into the main drain. I've got the feeling if they block up again in the same...

    Blocked drain?

All sorted, the same guy came out as yesterday, I was armed with your advise and said it must in the main pipe. He said he didn't know which way the drains ran, and was only going by what a bloke said on the estate. Anyway he rodded it from the house with the problem and put a jet down, which...

    Blocked drain?

As an update, the daughter of the house 2 doors away came round this morning, and said that their insurance company have said the block is on my land and it's up to me to sort out. I had already stuck rods down from my inspection chamber and they go to the end of the garden then stop, I reckon...
