    Changing a wall socket

The socket worked before I started stripping the 2inch woodchip from the walls using an electric steamer. I got a bit carried away I suppose and soaked the socket. When I noticed it was wet I unplugged the steamer. I figured it would dry out and never used the socket again. That was last month...

    Changing a wall socket

There are tenants involved, so your probably right about getting a pro to do it. A friend suggested doing it myself as it's such an easy task, but with tenants involved there's no room for error. It's just the thought of paying someone 50 quid to change a socket. Thanks for your help!

    Changing a wall socket

Ok, im an electrics novice! The single plug socket on the wall no longer works due to water getting into the socket (washing down the walls in order to scrape away old wallpaper). All other sockets and light switches in the room/house work fine. Is it just a case of switching off the mains...

Anyone have any idea if you can lay lawn on lawn? I need to raise my existing lawn and also fill in the middle and sides as this part currently has no grass. I have just been thinking too much into it, as the neighbours made the point when i moved in that they'd be keeping an eye on all the works i've had done - to make sure they where within regulation. Everything i have had done has been approved, but come...

The other side of the wall is the neghbours - only two bricks seperating with no cavity i have been advised! It was the first time BCO had viewed the place and he suggested the fan/flu could go from above the bathroom door into the lving room cornice, then along my living room into my...
