    washing machine outlet

    My washing machine outlet hose drains into a washtub. The washtub plugs with lint, so I want to put a filter on the hose to keep it clean. I have been told to use a woman's nylon hose as a filter. Is that OK? How would I securely connect it onto the outlet hose?
