    Restoring damaged concrete flights...

From just the 'skin' on the top down to around two inches or so in 'scoops' and some off the front edges of the step. Not that deep at the moment, but if we don't deal with it now it will just end up falling apart.

    Restoring damaged concrete flights...

Hi. Thanks for your response. Not all the steps have been compromised, but the ones that have have surface damage that is just powdering off in areas. We would probably scrape the surface off to get a reasonable depth of concrete on the top but we didn't want to have to replace the whole...

    Restoring damaged concrete flights...

At the front of our property is a flight of steps - 17 in total, 6 ft wide by around 30" deep. We believe they have been down since the 1960s or earlier and until this last Winter they were reasonably good, but the prolonged snow and frost has - like it did a lot of concrete - trashed many of...

We paid top notch and still got the *! £4800 for a 4 bed detached, boiler, Ariston storage tank (yes I know, but we were thinking of doing B & B at the time and wanted plenty of hot water - the irony is that the water pressure is so crap that we can only run one tap at a time anyway!)...

Ideal Icos dripping inside on electrics

I wouldn't be having a pop at the installer, but he fitted the whole system and other work and it isn't by any means the first thing we have had a problem with. Basically you have to trust the 'expert'. This system was recommended as being the most suitable for the job - how are we to know...

Ideal Icos dripping inside on electrics

Just wondering if anyone has come across this. We have an Ideal Icos (installed June 2004) that has given us untroubled service for the last 2 1/2 years. A few weeks ago the trip went on our Circuit board and we eventually isolated the cause to the boiler. Water was dripping inside on to an...
