    Whats best powder, tablets or liquid for washing machines?

    I've seen comments that liquid detergents can possibly corrode aluminium parts on washing machines and I'm sure I read that tablets are not good either.. is that true and if so why? I usually use either Ariel powder or the tablets.

    Zanussi FJDR1466s Drain Pump

    Thanks so much Keith, we had a look and yep just as you said there was something in there stopping it from turning.. the bit at the end of a Bic pen to be exact. Rogue item removed and fingers crossed machine seems to be working ok again.

    The drain pump on my zanussi washing machine appears to have died with no warning. It is not coming on at all so if I put a wash on the machine just stalls throughout the cycle aso I have to manually drain it after the wash then again after the rinse etc. Can someone tell me what is the likely...
