Does anybody know an easy way of taking off the mixer (the bit that twists) part of a mixer tap without removing the whole thing tap set up.

Have only taken 1 off & it had a grub screw, released that & with a pull it was off, replaced 'O' rings leak sorted.

If there's no grub screw, turn the spout to be sideways, ie parallel to the front of the kitchen unit. You may find you can pull it off when it's in that position. Try both directions!

The taps i've got for my new bathroom have a small grub screw under the small colour dot (red/blue).
They pop out, undo the screw - Bobs ur uncle. :)

As chris said if there is no screw then twist to the side. If you pull while you are twisting you can usually feel the key pop into the groove, at least then you know its the right place to start pulling.
