I am going to install the above pump into my property, fed up with no pressure upstairs. It looks a pain. I have drawn out most of the plumbing system so I know what goes where. Has anyone any advice on this installation?

I presume this does not affect the central heating side of things but would be interested to know if it changes pressure across the CH system!

why should it change the pressure of the ch if your installing it on the hw supplies?

Yes good question. I sort of through that in as I was thumbing through the pipe work around my feet. I wanted to make sure I get a good solid installation without any faults popping up on the pump.

I fitted the Salamander ESP. Make sure you fit it on a solid base to cut the noise. The heavier the better. If you have sufficient space then a heavy concrete block would be ideal. Make sure you read the instructions properly and fit a surrey flange to your cylinder. Is your header tank big enough? - they do give sizes in the book.

We had a problem with ours after a few years, the pump kept on running in the middle of the night. We thought it was a leak, but it was the expansion vessel(ali can bolted on side). Replaced it for about £25 and system was nice and silent - only going on when a tap openned.

I will check the tank again but its like crawling into a rabbit hutch.
Thanks for the info on the cylinder Ive had a good read on the setup but still may have someone come and do it as I have never been too good at the cylinders but will check it out at the weekend.....Thanks
