FORD FIESTA DOOR PROBLEMS

wonder if any of you could help? I keep getting water in my drivers side door panel. I ve been told that there are drainage holes at the bottom of the door to let the water out and these are supposed to be blocked (not sure tho). How do you unblock them , any one know? Ive checked the seals on the door for leaks and dont seem to be any ?

Any one can help, Id be mighty delighted

YOU have got the condensation syndrome nissan mira,s suffer the same probs in winter try sticking a old newspaper down the side im afraid their aint no quick fix for this one.

Look under the bottom of the door,locate the holes and poke them out with a welding rod, nail or something similar.

i've checked under the door and there does not seem to be any holes evident. The only holes of any signifiance are where plastic hooks fasten through the door and hold the seal on that goes around the door?

Do you know where or what I could do to unblock the holes ??????

All car doors must have drains or they would fill up with water as you have found out, compare it to the other door and if need be, pour a drop of water in and see where it drains out.

Theyre usually more like slots than holes, and if you cant see them then they're blocked.

Hi, I also have water trapped in the door of my ford fiesta (2005 reg). did you ever manage to sort the problem out GRICEY1's?

there is no way to stop the water going into the door, the only way to sort it is to drill another drain hole between the standard two holes, using a 4.5mm drill.
Ford started to put three drain holes on doors starting in March 07

I too have a problem with rain water in door panel of Ford Fiesta 2008 model. I bought car 4 months ago and Ford are refusing to do anything about it.

I was surprised to hear that Ford have had this problem for so long. It seems they have not heard of the Sale of Goods Act.
