Have been using Dulux Super Matt (thanks for the tips from here!) mist coat on freshly dried skimmed walls in the bedroom and will soon be putting the final colour coats on off Dulux Matt bought from Homebase.

Hall and Landing have been skimmed as well but we think we might just stick with magnolia for that but not sure what paint / paints to go for.
e.g

Dulux Super Matt only mist and then normal coats
Or
Glidden Trade Contract Matt only mist and then normal coats
Or
Dulux Super Matt mist and then a Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt
Or
Glidden Trade Vinyl Matt mist and then normal coats

So confused with all these paints, hope some people can help!

Plan B is your best option,

Mist with Gliddens contract - its a non-vinyl and you get better absorbtion and adhesion of subsequent coat, also its a lot cheaper - no point using the expensive stuff as a mist.

Give the first coat at about 40-50%, Gliddens contract is very thick and then another at about 15-20% after that a couple of coats of vinyl matt.

Personally I use Gliddens for mist coating and Johnstones for everything else, their cova-plus is superb.
