Good Morning

My house was built in the 1947 and the distance between the joists in the loft is 300mm.

I wish to install loft insulation and therefore require loft insulation 300mm wide.

Looking in DIY stores the minimum width is greater than this. Looking on the internet, websites say this available. Unfortunately I have not yet found a site where I may purchase this.

Does anybody know where I may purchase 300mm width loft insulation.

Regards

Yes you can get it, but it comes in 600mm widths and you cut it with a breadknife ;)

Don't forget you put the first layer between the joists, and the second layer at 90 degrees to the first

The latest thinking is you dont insulate between the joists.
You insulate at right angles to them . So 600mm is ideal and you dont have to cut it.
