Its that time of year tomorrow night where we turn all the lights out and don't answer the door to the several Trick or Treaters that we get every year.

Not being mean you understand but I can't give to everyone:cool:

Anyone like Halloween anyway :?:

Hear, Hear. Any connection with any legends or customs of our mysterious past are just plain rubbish. This annual descent into indignity, perpetrated by malicious and mindless low-lifes, should have been stopped years ago.
Of course, very young children, in their own homes, do get a thrill at dressing up etc, etc and this should, of course, continue but, to use it as an excuse for some of the uncontrollable elements in our society, to practice blackmail and intimidation at people's front doors, is just short of criminal and should not be tolerated. I have my bucket of water ready, on the sill of the window just above the front door.

Isn't there a charge of "demanding money with menaces"

I don't mind the groups of younger kids who make an effort to dress up and go round neighbours with parental supervision and they collect some sweets .

I do have a problem with bunches of adolescent chavs wearing 50p masks turning up, gave one such bunch some sweet type treats and was asked for money  Not any more

Intimidating for old folks.

I suffered a drive by egging a couple of years back  it splatted on the car and I got some residue, had to go wash the car at the jet wash and nip home and change before carrying on with my evening. I do remember it caused me a great sense of humour failure

we have a cracking party every Halloween. good excuse for a knees up.

i will be a bit tender on Sat morn.

there are a lot of miserly Meldrew types around lately. is it due to the clocks going back?

last year had a bunch of kids knock on the door, opened it and got the usual trick or treat,so i said trick  after about 5 mins of them looking at one another in bewilderment i shut the door :D :D :D they never came back

And now, after 364 days of planning, tomorrow is their day.......

I love to join in. I keep the Stihl chainsaw in the porch, and their little faces are a joy to see as I pull the cord and the ketchup flies off the blade while I yell "Muhuhahahaha!"

What no post from ST saying how we should be thankful that his nation's divine intervention in the ways of the world has led to the right of free expression for millions of kids on this hallowed eve??
