Peugeot 206 xsi '51 plate - is engine overheating?

I have a 51 plate 206 xsi - for a week or 2 now i have noticed that the engine is getting extremeley hot even after a 5 minute drive !

All is showing up normal on the gauges on the dash, i have enough oil, water, etc

Any ideas?

what makes you think it's overheating if the guage is showing ok?

Because the engine is near enough too hot to touch after a 5 minute drive !

best thing to do is not touch it if it is to hot

Its a petrol engine, they do get hot. If the temperture was excessive it would show up on the temp gauge and you would loose water.
