Has anyone used a meter box for 3 phase and had any problems with the size of the box? I have supplied an approved 3 phase flush mount box but have been told that they refuse to fit the service head as the box is too small.

3 phase incommers and meters aren't generally found in 'bricked in' boxes, as the supply is normally for commercial or industrial properties they are normally enclosed in a corner or in a service cupboard within the property. I've certainally never seen 3-ph gear inside a traditional cabinet, as found in domestic properties.

You may have been sold a '3-phase meter cabinet' because there isn't such a thing as a 'single phase meter box' either!

My DNO supply two sizes of box - I always get the boxes from the DNO, it's cheapers, and you know it is to their spec!
