Due to a number of problems we've had with our gas hob we are thinking of replacing it with a leccy one,as it will need a 30A supply can the new hob be wired into the same supply as the existing oven and to make it even easier can I just run a loop from where the cable connects into the back of the oven up to the hob, using cooker cable of course?

Doubtful, but you do not supply enough info. What are the ratings of the appliances & controls & supply cable?

most modern elecrtic hobs won't draw anything near 30amps, and you will need to cable it direct to the 30 or 40 amp cooker double pole isolator switch. Karl.
