peugeot 206 non starter

s reg 1.4i,cranks but wont fire,got a spark but doesnt seem to be any fuel pressure,pump doesnt run on cranking or ignition on,any ideas on fuel pump relay locations on these?
inertia switch in engine bay is ok,crank sensor changed too

Presuming it's SPI?
whip the cover off the injection unit, and remove the injector. Get someone to quickly flick the ignition on and off and see if you have any fuel coming into the injection unit (keep back while they do it as it does come out pretty fiercely!)
If it does, then the injector is duff or the wiring to it is iffy.
New injectors are around £160, so go down the scrappy and get one! Make sure you get the number off the injection unit though and check it with the one you whip the injector out of as there are a few different ones!

no its a multi point system,think its a magneti marelli 1ap?
almost positive the feed to the fuel pump isnt there,just trying to dig out the trusty haynes wiring diagrams now to see what controls it all

ecu is mounted on the inner wing, underneath it there is a brown (sometimes black) relay, about 3 inch by 2 inch in size. this is a common thing to fail, causes similar symptoms to yours. might be worth swapping, a new one from dealers is around 17 quid iirc.

thanks for that,i found that relay a few days ago and thought it may have been a problem area but i swapped it today with a known good one and its still the same,im now beginning to think its the immobiliser or the ecu,my obd tool wont communicate with the car but someone who says theirs does is coming tomorrow to have a crack

I just wondered if you solved your problem with the 206?.We have a similar problem with my daughters 206cc that has been stood for 2 weeks.Upon trying to start, it turned over and didn't fire and 'immobiliser fault' came up on the screen.It is becoming a major problem now and i would be gratefull for any help.

sorry only just saw this, i didnt find the problem with tha car and gave it back but suspected the immobiliser or ecu
sometimes a visit to peugeot is the only way to diagnose these faults,you can fit a free running ecu which has the immobiliser circuit bypassed but these cost a bit

look under bonnet,
either on right or left hand side is a red or black rubber button sort of 1 inch square witha round dimple on top, push your finger into the rubber bit it should click and stay down,(the rubber bit will pop back up though) this is the fuel cutoff relay which cuts out the fuel in the event of an accident.

a simple jarring of the car or slamming the bonnet too hard can make this relay think theres been an accident and it pops up cutting the fuel off,

diesels have these too !!!!

The fault with your car is that the transponder chip in the key is not being recognised by the car's ecu. You will need to replace the transponder aerial which is located around the ignition barrel.It simply disconnects and slides out and is a like for like replacement.You will not need it to be coded by a dealer and takes approximately 20 minutes to replace.This is a common fault with this model and we replace quite a few !!

tried that and the car was still the same
