I want to install 2 lights around the garage that are activated by any one of 3 different IR sensors. Both lights will come on if any one of the three sensors is activated. Any advice? Where can I get a wiring diagram which could help?
You can wire it using separate 240v pirs wired in to the same circuit switching lights of your choice.
I have heard that this can cause 'back emf' between the PIR's which can make them not work properly but then again I've supplied plenty that have worked OK, I'm only quoting someone elses opinion so perhaps someone elese will comment on the 'back emf' theory.
The other option that is more expensive but a better job is to use a dedicated 12v lighting controller which allows you to zone the lights if necessary and be able to easily switch them all off, on to PIR or on override. http://www.alertelectrical.com/product_subcat.asp?typeID=20&SubID=163
The GJD is the branded product which is why it is on our website but 'Smiths Timeguard' also do a similiar product which is a bit cheaper but not as well known or asthetically pleasing.
