Wonder what would have happened if the protestors had demonstrated in the regimes that they claim the army has done so much damage to.

What is up with this country! Imagine 20 or so british citizens doing that to the Iranian army in Iran or the Indian army on their home soil, they would be strung up beaten to death.I'll bet the troops who marched passed that outrage were seething. I noticed the "protesters" being photographed by the police, Ijust bl---y well hope it was'nt to put them on their x mas card list. They want identifying and deporting now. As Kevin Rudd the Australian p.m. so rightly said if you dont like us or our ways either don't come here or go home.

Dead right.
When I saw this on the news yesterday, it made me wonder what the hell have we let happen to our country. Witnessing our troops being abused by these people made me mad as hell.
I consider the protestors to be the enemy within, totally at odds with a country that I like to still think is a Christian democracy.
Just don't get me going, or this post could turn into a major rant
I know that the jingoists on the forum will scream blue murder, but is there the slightest possibility that if the 'West' ( USA and Britain in particular) stopped attacking everyone they can think of, there could be a calmer world ? The USA is the major world terrorist and the UK is anxious to hang on to their coattails.

Agreed (up to a point). It all seems a retaliate-retaliate loop, with both sides feeling justified in flexing their muscles and not "looking weak".
The main concern I have is the use of "religion" to justify attempts to change cultures, when ironically the religious icons were adamently against violence. Islam is a peaceful religion, which Mohammed wanted to be spread through political means as a way of appeasing fighting factions. Similarly, not once have I heard that Jesus proposed spreading the word of "love" through fear, hatred and torture, which is rife throughout the Christian church's history.
Isn't it strange how some of the elder clerics seem so willing to brainwash younger, more impressionable members of their religious communities to perform acts of gross inhumanity and indecency, and yet can't quite bring themselves to do the same

They are happy enough to claim benefits, put their many children thr our education system, use our NHS etc and pay sweet fa in tax back into the system. They are parasites and Bury Park where they came from is a rat infested ****hole but even that is too good for them. Send them back to their mud huts in Pakistan I say.
