Re the DVD iso image containing Boiler Manuals contained in the FAQ Sticky -

Once you've downloaded all 11 parts of the DVD iso, how do you stitch them together? If you extract them one at a time then they all have the same filename and hence get overwritten. Do you stitch together the .rar files or the .iso files and how do you do it?

cheers

I havnt seen the sticky.
But rar files select rar00 then the rest will unpack.
iso file you can burn them using a dvd programe.
Do a google on iso or rar

you need winrar which has a 30 day free trial and imgburn (freeware) or you can mount the image in a virtual drive with daemon tools (freeware) which means you don't have to burn it to disc you just play /use it from the virtual drive daemon tools installs on your pc. Obviously if you go this route you might want to copy the original iso as back up.

Wher's the faq BTW?

Tony.

Nope, sorry I just get a succession of .iso files all with the same filename with the most recent overwriting the previous one.

The Microsoft website has a couple of tools for working with them.

ISO Recorder is a handy piece of software that makes light work of creating and using such images.

Converting a CD to an ISO image is a simple matter of right-clicking the CD icon in My Computer and selecting ‘Create image from CD’.

Images can also be created from files and folders by right-clicking and selecting ‘Create ISO image file’. The program can also be used to copy ISO files onto CD – just right-click the file and select ‘Copy image to CD’.

download the files, install winrar, right click on the first file and select "open to xxx folder" and is does do it.

You can open each one and see the same file because there is only 1 file in it.
To be able to see whats inside the .iso file you can get Isobuster and use that.
Using Isobuster you can even extract individual (or groups of) files as & when needed until you put the whole lot on DVD.

EDIT: You can extract the whole ISO to a folder using WinRAR too. :D
