Give it a few taps with a blunt object when demanding heat/hw near the top right/side of your boiler casing, or lower down where your pcb is located not the bottom flap down casing though. See what happens.

Can't keep up with the workload at present. Not prepared to let customers down, or worse still use someone else

To me it is just basic business principles ;)

Hi everyone just to let you know what the problem with the boiler is.

The fan motor is sticking and no longer rotating freely.

Once it is helped to start the air pressure valve allows the pilot to light and away the boiler goes.....until the noisy fan stops rotating fast enough and the air pressure drops and out it goes.

Should have a new one fitted today.

Had we attended at the weekend, we would have lubricated the fan and that would have kept it going for a few weeks during which time we would have ordered a new fan.

It sounds as if your landlord's fellow did not even bother to lubricate it to leave it working for you. I suppose he did not want to spend the extra 10 minutes on the job!

Inappropriate advice on a public forum in my view!

A mad mod should take it out!
