Bathroom refurb disaster - help me

Hi All,

I've had some builders in (on the cheap) refurbing my bathroom. I've been burnt....

They installed a new radiator while I was at work and from what I gather, did not turn the radiator off. When I got home, the boiler was making the sound of a groaning washing machine (between spin cycles) and the pressure had dropped to 0. I quickly re-filled the boiler, re-pressurized back to 1 bar (bled radiators as well)... but it won't hold. Pressure will drop back to 0 within 5 minutes. My neighbour below has been up and told me of a leak in in her bathroom now as well.... it's dripping through her extractor fan directly above my new toilet... to complicate matters.

The boiler is a 4 month old Worcester Greenstar 24i.

As I cant write off other dodgy plumbing work that could potentially be the cause of the leak, would there be anything else that's causing the pressure issue with the boiler?

These guys are not being paid a penny....

Yeah I figured that this is the obvious cause..... I noticed water marks around where they had been working this afternoon and was thinking that perhaps the leak downstairs is a collection of water from the plumbing work done during the day and not an actual leak from one of the boiler pipes.... as they were also fitting a bath/ basin etc.. Can't locate a current leak in the bathroom at the moment either (floor & pipes exposed)

The boiler losing pressure is an obvious sign, just didn't want to write off other potential causes

Right, found and fixed the leak....

Problem now is that the boiler will not fire up.....

check the pressure 1.2 cold
