Hi,

I need to make sure my boiler CH doesnt turn ON as i have radiators etc removed but would like to switch off CH before i switch the boiler on. I just need hot water supply.

There is a terminal under the boiler with permanent live and two other connections (L1 and L2 - switched live I think?) Do I short circuit these or leave open for CH to be disabled on switch on?

I have a programmer but i'm not familiar with it hence don't want to risk guessing.

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks, Asg

Why can't the boiler come on for ch with just the remaining rads connected?

Or are you saying you have drained the system?

In which case you can't use the boiler for HW either.

I would close isolating valves for the CH circuit.

It may not be perfect but it would do the job!

so you have rads removed, yet you still have pressure?
there should not be a link in the plug either as that should have been removed on install and a room thermostat fitted.

Anyway a homeowner shouldnt be going inside their own damn boiler!

Doesnt matter if its 'their' boiler - they still aint qualified
