i'm in the process of fitting a mira exell mixer shower, i'm at the stage now where the tiles are on the walls and i've got the hot and cold pipes sticking through the wall, all i need to do now is cut the pipes the manuel says to have 18mm of pipe from the face of the tile my pipe cutter won't cut the pipes this short so i was wondering if anyone has any tips or suggestions on cutting them :)

you can hacksaw and clean the ends up after with a file etc
providing you can cut straight and not at a angle.
or get a pipe slice.

any idea if a pipe slice will cut the pipe that short the cutter i've got won't ?

I always find that a standard rothenburger, or similar pipe slice, will leave approx 18mm length of copper when pressed against the tiles as you cut.
