is 10mm the same as 3/8 ? help needed

Hi Guys,

Help appreciated. Needed a 10mm masonary drill bit for a diy job, and then realised that shops are closed for easter sunday. I have found a brand new drill bit tha says 10 and the 3/8 undreneath it. Does this mean that the drill bit is 10mm and that I can use it ?

3/8" translates to 9.525mm.

So, go ahead and use the drill bit. As it is masonry it won't make a jot of difference.

Tip for the future: You could have drilled a test hole else where to find out.

I've got a nice selection of bent bits that I've leant to people because they couldn't be bothered to use the right size drill bit, think they were trying to drill a 8mm hole with a 5mm bit!
