Between Rafters insulation questions??? please help

I have used the search function and came up with the below, correct me if i am wrong

1. if insulating Between the Rafters i need to leave a air gap between the back of the tiles and the insulation.
2. you should not insulate Between the Rafters and the floor of a loft because of condensation.

the issues i have is that i have adequate floor insulation in my loft and it has been boarded out for storage but as i can see the back of my tiles when in the loft it gets VERY dusty up there so anything i put up there gets dusty, can i do the following

1. just platerbaord over the rafters so i in effect have a sealed room

or is this a NO NO

Can't see a problem with sheeting the attic out. You have to provide adequate ventillation space between the rafters (min 50mm air gap) and as long as you fitted a few ventilator grilles into the roomspace, shouldn't be a problem, you'll never achieve a "sealed" room.

Thank you very much for the info, i know what you mean about sealed bad choice of words by me and meant just less dusty

i will have a couple on inches gap between the tile and the plasterboard for ventilation.
the nest issue is how to get sheets of platerboard into the loft

I achieved this by scoring the back of the board with a stanley knife, folding the board in two, carry up to loft, flatten out on loft floor then duck tape the sliced side. This can result in an almost perfect large sheet. My diy emporium sells a product called handiboard which is thinner than regular wallboard and a bit smaller but perfect for lining your rafters
