Troubleshoot dead Indesit WG820 washing machine...?

Washer is dead on switching on. Have changed fuse to no effect. I guess there are any number of things it could be, but are there any straightforward things to have a look at?

I have no appliance repair experience but don't mind taking stuff apart and I have a multimeter.

Any help appreciated!

check door switch , /on/off switch ,pcb for burn marks

Thanks. I had a poke around inside but couldn't find anything looking amiss at all. Gave up, hit the classifieds and within a few hours picked up a superb condition Electrolux Aqualux 1000 for £40.

Will stick the Indesit on Freecycle or bin it. The throw-away society eh?
