its the playstation 2 and yes we tried both the one that was in the car and the one we have in the house and the same reseult.......

what was the software you needed to load

havent tried a game, will try it when he gets back

What type of screen are you using and where is it powered from?
Sounds like it could be an issue with the power to the screen,

This happened with my old portable when we were camping and using an invertor

what do you mean when you say you "tried the one in the house"?

did you have the same problem with the home PS connected to the home TV?

did you try your home PS in the car?
I mean, did you carry the PS into the car, disconnect the car one, connect the home one, and try it?

yes I unplugged the one in the car and plugged in the one we have in the house and it was the same problem, the screen is sbout 4" square.

the one in the house works fine when it is plugged into the tv in the house, its deffinately a screen problem ????
