Good Weed Killer

can anyone suggest a good weed killer ???

I have an alotment and we have loads of weeds, I have cut them all down, they where about 5foot tall..............lol and piled them all up in heap, and as it will not stop raining, I am unable to burn them.

I have tried round up - which does seem to be working, sort of, but I need about 300 gallons of it, and at 10.00 for 3LT, you can see my problem.

Our plot is about 25m long and 15m wide and it needs some really good stuff, to get rid of them all so we can start planting veg etc............

So don't want anything too harmful to the earth.

Any old wives remedies would be good, costic soda etc..........

try this place, bjut not sure if they sell to general public, we get it as we are trade. It will take a while to beat theweeds and dont rotovate the ground dig it over once you are clear.
