Can I use a dimmer switch with wall lights WITH pull cord?

Hi

I just want to double check that I can use a dimmer switch connected to two wall lights, both having a pull down on/off cord.

I thought maybe the pull cord might cause a problem on the dimmer switch IF it was turned off while in dimmer mode.

you should be able to satisfy the minimum and maximum load of the dimmer. would you want to cut off the pull cords (when at the ON position)?

wouldn't be a problem in the short term, after all, it's the same as a bulb blowing.
