Has anyone had problems with these tiles? The roofer has put these on our 15pitch roof and about a third of them (100) are chip, cracked or split in two. The Marley rep has come out and said there is no wrong with the tile and passed all quality control, and the breakage are due to excessive walking on the roof by the roofer. Some of the tiles just chip when you put them down.

I keep saying that the tiles are not fit for purpose. How do I reject them? and Marley to replace all of them with a different type, say the Wessex type tile?

The Marley rep finally conceded that the tiles were at fault and is now replacing the whole lot for Wessex tiles.

Have had a few probs with marley over the years, mostly by the tiles being sent out before 'curing' properly. As they are a concrete tile , they need to be left for a month or so from manufacture to being used.

Over the past few years Marley has gone downhill a lot due to cost cutting (got to pay for their huge clay tile manufacturing plant they had built JUST before the latest recession kicked in) and we tend to steer away from them now. You did well to get all the tiles replaced! Nice one.
