Hi, Whats best adhesive for mosaic sheets? Looking for something that will grab quick and not allow sag or wavy lines.
got 25 sq mt along worktops and lots of awkward door/ window reveals. Any suggestions appreciated thanks.

use an all in one grout and adhesive, but not just any one, can't remember the make but there is a specific one designed for mosaics.
Go to the screwfix forum and put a call out for mudster, what he doesn't know about tiling probably isn't worth knowing

isnt that the one that comes in lots of small pots?

Bal has a mosaic power adhesive you mix with water, and is the same colour as it's own grout, but I'm not sure it stops sagging.

I always use Howtex Fermagrip for most tiling jobs I do because it simply does not let tiles slip, not like some adhesives which state they are non-slip when they do just that.

Also, buy yourself a mosaic trowel , don't try to use the usual 6mm ones as the adhesive will only come through the joints. Keep a wet sponge by you at all times to mop up in the event it does come through.

Hope that helps.

Just found out its the nicobond combined grout and adhesivef you need to use for mosaics, as simon says (sorry no pun intended) keep a damp sponge handy and then it does'nt matter if any squeezes through as you will be fixing and grouting in one, infact let some squeeze through and then theres no need to go over it again with grout.

Thanks simon and chappers. I got the job done. I dont do much tiling nowadays and like to keep away from powder adeshives (dermatitus  ) The bloke I was working for showed me some b&q own brand  I tried half sheet and noted it grabbed quite well (used the free spreader with small notches) and blimey next day had to bolster it off. Soo got some more of that and sheets grabbed strait away with no waves/ slip, went on quite clean tho as you say a damp sponge needed and as it was fix & grout half grouting was done lol.
As i'm new to p/c and this site I didn't think any1 would reply to this it's a vg site. Thanks again.
