are the crazy to go public or wise (probably no way you can hide that sort of lottery win)?
I can already see the queue of financial advisers crawling from the woodwork....

Personally i would not have a clue on what to so with that sort of money, how much to donate to family members, which bank to stick into (ie. would not want 45 million quid in the likes of northern rock or lloyds tsb).

my first thought if they have children is for the sake of security, why go public?
 
i think the coupe have grandchilderen.
When they visit camelot to collect their winnings they see an adviser. I understand that the adviser suggested they went public. I guess they would have been found out eventually by tabloids etc etc.
But you are correct on the security issue, i can see a bill of 1000+ quid a day on security men and the like for them and their families (which isn't a problem when you've got 45 million quid), more of an issue for each of the syndicate winners.

what a slacker, an hour off to pick up the cheque, then back to work, the only thing i might do is cut down on the overtime
 
I saw the Welsh couple and the 7 scousers who won lined up for photo calls on the news last night. None of them looked as if they were starving to death - even before winning £45m. You can see the clips here and here
Good luck to them - they'll need it if they've got relatives anything like mine. :confused:

seems like he might not give a monkeys about his kids anyway, considering that they found out about his win during his televised interview at camelot on the tuesday.....rather than getting in touch with them to tell them the good news.....
