Wierd convert x to dvd problem

MY convert X to DVD software has gone from working perfectly to not being able to convert any file stored in the My Videos folder. If I try to add a file to convert it just locks up and CPU usage goes up to 100%. The strange thing is if i put the file in any other folder it will convert it. I have looked at the folder settings for My Videos and can see no difference. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling Convert X to DVD

Anyone? Not even any wild ideas? Am willing to try anything this has me stumped.

this happened to me years ago when i first had XP. the only work around i found was what you've found so just another directory.
