Could someone let me know how much it would cost to have thermostat controls put on eight radiators and what has to be done.

price will depend on which stats you want

drain system

change valves

refill system

bleed rads

check everything is working

drink tea provided

8 x Cost of TRV £5-20
1 X bottle of inhibitor £8-20
4-8 hours of the engineers time £25-£60

add it all together. £148-660

now you know why its so hard for us to give prices

thanks for replies. I'll be getting it done in the Spring as there doesn't seem to be any control on the ones I have at the moment, it's either full on or off completely if I turn the knob fully. Just opening it a little and it's full on again.

Didn't realise it was so much work though, not to mention all the tea

Installing thermostatic valves won't alter that much; they react to roomtemperature and turn the whole rad off and on.
