I have not fitted one but I was allowed to have a look at the first one they were installing for training their staff engineers at Warwick.

I thought that it looked good for the job but hear that its not so cheap. Of course with all new carpets it might still be cheaper than pulling up new carpets.

the biggest hasle must be changing the flue liner , im sure they will sell alright though the old biddys love them

The flue is made from two convoluted plastic concentric pipes.

Very light weight and they stretch a bit so accurate cutting is not a problem.

Very easy to install but I gather the flue is not cheap either!

Seems a lot of hassle if you can't even have a gas fire. Who wants an electric fire - back to the 60s! (one bar or two?)

Nothing wrong with electric fires!

It has a hologram that makes it look very deep when it is not!

Yes, I know lots of people have them, but if they were that good, people wouldn't go to the trouble and expense of having gas fires fitted, when they could just plug a fire in.

Nasty things, that dry the air out!
