a mate got let down by his sparks, fitting a eurosec cpx alarm panel. All wires have been run to pirs and contact switches back to the panel.

There's a honeywell bellbox sitting in a box too.

1) I was wondering which panel terminals match with the bellbox.

on the panel I have
SAB TMP
BELL+
BELLHOLD
BELL-
STROBE-

on the bellbox I have
R
V+
SW
V-
ST

I've fitted the odd Optima alarm panel (very straight forward) before but this has a 100+ pages of just programming :-/

2) I'm presuming the basics here,
power feed for the PIR's is from the aux 12v +&-
pir and door contact switches go to AZ1 to AZ8
tamper ccts wired in series to TZ

3) none of this requiring the supplied resistors ?

Any help to the above, as always, appreciated.
i'd post a link to the installation PDF but risco have restricted access !

For your bell box connections:

SAB TMP to R in Bell
BELL+ to V+ in Bell
BELLHOLD to V- in Bell
BELL- to SW in Bell
STROBE- to ST in Bell

As for the zone wiring, you don't need to use the resistors supplied. Just wire the zones as you would on an Optima, and wire the tamper loop in series through the detector tampers, back to the TZ terminals.

cheers,

I'm sure I'll have a few more questions when I start getting through the programming....

Although I'm trying to help by getting a basic alarm working asap, would it not be advisable or even a requirement (ie for insurance) that he uses a "qualified" installer ? And if it is, what qualification or certification would be needed, NSI ?
