are those mcbs or rcbos?

any of those breakers have a test button incorporated or 30 mA printed on them?

main earth could use a bit of attention too.

I spy unsheathed singles behind the board too.
Holes in the top of the CU? - difficult to tell.
No RCD protection.
There are no PEBs connected to the MET, are they connected to the earth rail in the CU? These should connect to the incoming water main if your water is in copper and to the gas supply etc.

How would you go about uprating that main earth cable, do you just phone the DNO and ask them to do it?

As for the water pipe i believe it is fed into the house in a plastic pipe View media item 17232

If you had 2 heaters and a kettle on it is possible to trip out a 32amp breaker, if everything was drawing maximum current at the time thats 3 x 13amps = 39amps.

A B32 MCB will carry 39A for in excess of 10000 seconds (2hrs 46mins).

It'll even carry 50A for over 2 minutes.

It could be in the earth rail in the CU, difficult to tell.
Water should be main protective bonded to the same point from where it enters if the installation pipework is in metal.

second mcb from left seems to have 4 wires in it! have 2 rings been doubled up?
No RCD at all?
