Dear All

I would like to know why my boiler Baxi combi 133HE is not giving me instant hot water in the bathroom upstairs to the taps and the shower? Downstairs kitchen sink and utility is fine and hot and the Central heating is great! What are my options to fault find this problem?

Thanks all......

does it get hot after a while, as your first post implies. Could be just a long run to get to bathroom.

Could be faulty diverter cartridge, run the hot water only and see if the c/h flow pipe warms up as well,ie taking some of the heat from the hot water side,

Hi not tried just the hot water only yet and felt the CH pipe! I find it hard to be a long run as the boiler is directly below the main bathroom! The water in the bathroom does sporadically get hot now and again, then it goes luke and finally cold! Could the mains pressure be something to do with it as the main stop tap is feeding the boiler from about two metres away? Or does it need a CH engineer fir a diagnostic check? Thanks again

Hi Nightforday,
I have the same boiler...inherited when moved 6 months ago, and it has been nothing but trouble!! I was having similar problems with water not heating up...despite everything being on FULL!
My normal chap suggested getting in contact with Baxi. £350 later....their bloke turns up and shuts system down and calls out the Gas people (at this stage you may realise from my terminology I know nothing about plumbing BTW....just hoping I can help a little) because my gas pressure was too low....apparently! The Gas guys were great....very helpful and professional. Fired up boiler after they went and....you guessed....same problem!! Got Baxi back....better engineer this time(last one was 'new'!!) and he said our motorised valve was faulty and so our hot water was doing the rounds through the central heating before getting to the bath!!
Not sure if this helps....but gets it off my chest....thanks for the therapy!
