Hi,

I have this DW. It's around 5 yrs old. Today after a 90min wash, the door and the crockery was still dirty.

I've cleaned out the filters, topped up the salt and rinse agent and then did another wash, this time with it empty. When finished, the door was still dirty. There were some toast crumbs there from earlier.

I've read about pouring hot water from the kettle down into the bottom under the mesh filter. I did this, but the water doesn't go away. Should it?

There are no fault lights or beeps. It beeps 4 times when the program has finished which I think is normal, so it *thinks* it's working I guess.

Just about to have a 2nd baby, so we need this thing to work, or get a replacement!

What could it be, and can I fix it? I'm quite handy if it's physical rather than electrical.

Thanks

Lee

I've noticed that it appears to run a full programme, but when complete there is still half a tablet left and the plates are still dirty. Could that mean it's not getting enough water?

does the pray arms go round, start prog and open door after 4 mins .water should be below the filters when its drained .

They go round if I move them by hand if that's what you mean.

I'll try the other thing you said.

Cheers

Ok, I put it on rinse and opened the door after 4 mins. The water was above the filters. Also, I put the arms at the 6 o'clock position and at the end of the program they were still in that position.

no when it fills it should spray round its self.put spray arms dead straight so they are pointing at you when it starts to wash they will be at a differant postion that mens they are working if they stay at the same postion water is not getting though.i take it you check that the arms are not blocked

so do the arms go round when its washing .

Possibly the circulation pump capacitor gone low in value, 'this kicks starts the pump into operation'
