Depends on what you want mate. A WB Greenstar CDI comes with a five year warranty as long as it's installed by WBAI (approved installer) however these boilers ain't cheap, you can go down the cheap boiler road with something like a Vokera Compact 25HE or 29HE which are about half the price of the cheapest CDI.

WB customer service is second to none mate whereas Vokera's is pretty average so if you want a decent boiler with a long warranty and the peace of mind that the manufacturer's engineer will be out and fix it, without having to order parts, within two days at most during the winter.

Just depends on what you going to do with the flat to be honest.

The question has to asked, who moved a 26year old boiler that was condemned 5 weeks later 5 feet only a few weeks ago?

Does anyone know if the 5 year WB warranty can be earned or bought for a reasonable sum if installer is not accredited?

No it's two years out of the box for a non approved installer but WB do an extended warranty, it used to be about £195 a year which included a service I think.

Still good value for money if you have a Greenstar CDI which has to have it's HEX checked every year as part of the service.

Give them a phone but they won't touch boilers over ten year old.

Thanks. I've just put a 30cdi system boiler in at home.
Didn't notice the bit about the heat exch. Take it it's a check and/or clean at service time?

Different HEX mate, personally I would stick your system on a BG homecare contract.
