help please. valiant ecotec plus boiler

hi all

my landlord eventually got a valiant ecotc boiler fitted in july this year after having a faulty boiler for 3 years.

now the boiler is making strange clicking clunking noises when the heating or hot water goes on. i contacted my landlord about this last week and to date still not heard from him.

can anyone help with what this might be please, i am on my own with a 6month old and a 3yr old.

Boiler will be under warranty.

Providing landlord had it fitted by a registered installer.?

Is the pressure gauge still reading about 1.2 Bar when cold? (press the '-' button)

it is its between 1.2 and 1.3

the hot water is now running hot, warm then cold now.

have contacted my landlord to tell him but still no reply. (he is one of these that brags about how many houses he rents but does nothing to maintain them)

I would normally say withold your rent until he gets it sorted out.

It sounds as if the boiler is full of dirt because the nupty installer did not clean the system. Probably because he was not paid enough to clean it.

Does the Landlord have a gas safety certificate and has he given you a copy?

i have not had a gas safety certificate since i moved in the council and HSE and dealing with that.
