Brown glue on velux (How can i remove it)

Hi all

I had a large amount of brown parcel tape on the wood of my velux window. Now i have removed the tape and it have left the brown glue on the wood that i cant get off

Is there anything i can use to remove the brown glue without damaging the wood.

Check on a small area first and use PPE and ventilate.

Strip back with sandpaper or similar & repaint (probably whole window to avoid difference in colours)
