Hi guys

We've got a Victorian house and are thinking of replacing some of the internal doors as they have been hacked around re. Yale locks, cracked panels etc ....

Any ideas about where we can buy something suitable ?

The sizes are 34" by 81.5" and everywhere I've looked online has been smaller than that ?

Cheers

Steve

Thanks Guys

Not tried any reclamation yards yet - TBH I get so little time (young family !) that I'd find it hard to manage that

And yeah we got a quote for a new door - £600-£700 - EACH !

I think we may have to try to get ours refurbed but they're in a pretty sorry state (they are painted - and I think varnished under that)

take them off and get them dipped, look in your local friday ad type paper and for a few numbers or ask at your local timber merchants.

If they are painted you can fix all the problems and then repaint. Two part filler is a marvelous thing and Yale lock holes can be filled with dowel.
